Rosa = Nourishing. Floral. Rejuvenating. Femme. Rosa gets its name from Rosa Canina, better known as Rosehip — and yes, it's as fancy as it sounds. Rosehip oil is packed with carotenoids and natural retinol, making it a skincare darling for anti-aging, cell regeneration, and serious moisture. This soap has been folded into an already-pretty-dang-good signature recipe and mingled it with rose clay and a playful essential oil blend of geranium, bergamot, lavender, and a whisper of Madagascar vanilla. Handcrafted in small batches using traditional cold process magic. All natural ingredients, zero artificial fragrances or colorants. Made palm-free! 4-5oz per bar.

Ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, water, sodium hydroxide, avocado oil, shea butter, castor oil, rosehip oil, essential oil blend of geranium, lavender, bergamot, rose clay, non-nano zinc oxide. External use only, avoid contact with eyes. Although essential oils are plant derived, they can be allergenic. If you are unsure, test a small area of skin before using.

To get the most life out of bar soap, keep them elevated and away from standing water. Any above statements about the medicinal use of ingredients is not an FDA statement. These soaps will not cure or prevent any disease.

Meet The Maker

The Ash House Soap Studio & Refillery is a mom-owned small business from Ohio. Its name comes from the history of soap making, when people would use small brick buildings called ash houses to store their ashes over the winter. In the spring, the ashes were soaked with water, creating a natural form of lye called potash, and then mixed with oils and fats to create soap.

Wanting to live a more sustainable lifestyle, Jen wanted to add a plastic-free dish soap bar to her previous retail store. With no luck finding a bar that met her standards and was also affordable for her customers, she decided to create her own. From that day on, it became a love story between maker and soap.

The studio’s soaps are made free of palm oil, synthetic detergents, or dyes. They are made with quality essential oils, clean fragrances, and natural oils and butters in the traditional cold process fashion. Inspired by nature, they are handcrafted using ingredients sourced locally and from small businesses where possible. The studio carries a variety of soaps, most of which are vegan, while some are made with products from small farms, such as goat milk and honey.

The studio strives to be a plastic-free shipping company and ships with recycled boxes or box filler when available as a way to reduce single-use packaging.
